Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: 

(a)

whether it is a fact that the Indian Railways is reeling under a crushing staff shortage 

with 3.12 lakh non-gazette posts lying vacant across the country, spread across 18 zones, as 

on December 1, 2022;

(b)

if so, the details thereof;

(c)

if not, the number of non-gazette posts lying vacant across the country, zone-wise;

(d)

whether it is also a fact that the inability to fill posts has led to employees working 

over-time up to 16 hours at a stretch; and

(e) 

if so, the details thereof?
